For Austin T. Miller / US Folk Art, the project began as a true digital restoration. Austin is a passionate collector and dealer of exceptional Americana, but his previous website had become an antique in all the wrong ways—an outdated WordPress build that had gone untouched for nearly a decade and was no longer serving the quality of the collection it represented.

I approached the rebuild as both a preservation and elevation project. Moving the site fully onto Squarespace allowed for a clean, modern, highly visual experience that better reflects the craftsmanship, history, and storytelling behind early American antiques and folk art. The new design leans into an elegant Americana sensibility, with visual references that feel rooted in Ohio history and the broader heritage of the pieces Austin curates.

Beyond the website itself, I refreshed the brand identity with an updated logo that feels more timeless and refined while staying true to the authenticity of the business. I also handled the technical transition pieces that often get overlooked but matter deeply to the client experience, including setting up a reliable new Google Workspace email environment tied to the new domain.

The result is a polished, museum-like digital gallery that gives Austin a far stronger platform for showcasing inventory, past sales, and scholarship, while dramatically simplifying the day-to-day management of the site moving forward.
